Business Class · Punjab Entrepreneurship Mindset Programme

Privacy Policy

Last updated 26 August 2026

Business Class is the learning platform for the Punjab Entrepreneurship Mindset Programme, used by students and staff of participating colleges. This policy explains what we hold about you, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It covers both the website and the Android app.

What we collect

Your account details. Name, email address, mobile number, gender and date of birth where you provide them, and your college, university, degree, trade, roll number and semester. Most of this reaches us from your college rather than from you directly.

Your work on the programme. Videos watched, quizzes attempted, activities and assignments submitted, points, badges, grades and the semester you have reached.

Files you upload. Assignment submissions and, if you set one, a profile photograph.

Business and revenue figures. If you record earnings from a business you run as part of the programme, we store those figures and any supporting evidence you attach.

Messages. What you send to the AI mentor and to your assigned mentor through the platform’s chat.

Sign-in information. A session cookie or token so you stay signed in, and a record of failed sign-in attempts so we can block password guessing.

What we do not collect

The app requests only internet access. It does not use your location, camera, contacts, microphone, calendar or call history, and it does not read files on your device other than one you choose to attach.

There is no advertising in Business Class, and no advertising, analytics or tracking software of any kind is built into it. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.

Why we hold it

To run the programme: to give you access to the right curriculum, record what you have completed, calculate your points and grades, let your faculty and college see the progress of their own students, and produce reports for the programme.

Colleges and universities see only their own students. Faculty see only the students in the sections assigned to them.

Who else sees it

Your college and university. Your faculty, your college’s nodal officer and your university’s nodal officer can see your profile and your progress. Programme administrators can see all participating institutions.

Microsoft Azure OpenAI. Messages you send to the AI mentor are passed to Microsoft’s Azure OpenAI service to generate a reply. Please do not put anything into that chat you would not want processed by an external service.

Amazon Web Services. The platform and its database run on AWS infrastructure in the Mumbai region, in India.

We do not share your information with anyone else, except where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

For as long as you take part in the programme and while the programme keeps its academic record afterwards. When an administrator removes an account it stops being visible and stops being able to sign in, and it can be permanently erased on request.

Keeping it safe

Traffic is encrypted in transit. Passwords are stored only as one-way hashes, so nobody — including us — can read them back. Access is restricted by role, so each person sees only their own institution’s records. Repeated failed sign-ins are rate-limited. The database is backed up daily.

Students under 18

Some participants are under 18. Accounts are created by their college as part of an academic programme rather than by children signing themselves up, and no advertising or behavioural profiling is applied to any account. A parent or guardian may contact us through the student’s college to ask what is held about their child, or to ask for it to be corrected or deleted.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct anything wrong, or delete your account. Ask your college’s nodal officer, who can correct most details directly, or write to us at the address below. Some records — such as academic results already issued — may need to be kept for the programme’s own reporting.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will be announced inside the platform.

Contact

Questions about this policy, or a request about your information, can be sent to support@businessclass.punjab.gov.in. You may also raise a ticket from inside the platform, or speak to your college’s nodal officer.
